A global campaign to help doctors and patients recognize the symptoms of Hereditary Angioedema, so commonly mistaken for other conditions.
Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) is a rare disorder that can cause painful and sudden swelling in various parts of the body. These “attacks” can happen without warning and last for days, making it difficult to perform everyday tasks, physically and emotionally. Before patients can be treated for HAE, they need to be diagnosed. But unfortunately, symptoms are often mistaken for other, more common conditions, and a staggering portion of patients received misdiagnoses in their lifetimes.
